Structure, movement & pain

The Musculoskeletal portal.

Your structural read - bone, muscle, how you move, and the pain you log over time. Movement here is exploration, not output. You build a foundation first and earn load second.

Bilateral screens scored on the worse side

What it reads

  • An eight-screen body audit, scored out of 24, and a bilateral screen is scored on the worse side. It sets which pillar you start at.
  • Four pillars in sequence, each resting on the one before it. Breathing is the foundation under everything: diaphragmatic breath under intra-abdominal pressure, regulated during and after exertion.
  • Then movement as pattern and not lift - single-leg, asymmetric, rotational. Then strength as force transmitted through fascia and whole-body tensegrity, tendons trained deliberately: fast work for spring, slow eccentrics for compliance.
  • Specialization comes last, by necessity. High-volume and fat-loss templates live there as options once the first three pillars hold.
  • A corrective curriculum runs parallel and ungated, starting at Roots. Pain logs, body composition and DEXA read alongside it.

Pain here is information about how your nervous system is predicting and protecting, not a measure of damage.

Movement

Exploration, not output. Foundation first, load second.

An eight-screen body audit sets where you start. The four pillars are a developmental sequence, and each one rests on the one before it.

Breathing

The foundation under everything

Diaphragmatic breath under intra-abdominal pressure - the pneumatic reflex - and learning to regulate breath during and after exertion. Before load, before pattern: breath.

Movement

Pattern, not lift

Intentionality, connection, and balance. Motor patterns explored with curiosity - single-leg, asymmetric, rotational - not conventional gym lifts.

Strength

Force transferred, not ground out

Transmitting force through fascia and whole-body tensegrity - the spine drives and the limbs counter-rotate - not grinding through a lever. Tendons are trained deliberately: fast work for spring, slow eccentrics for compliance.

Specialization

Last, by necessity

Sport-specific, posture-based, or goal-specific patterns - built only once the first three pillars hold. This is where high-volume and fat-loss templates live: as options, not the starting point.

A corrective curriculum runs alongside the pillars, in order of capacity and ungated by the audit. It starts at Roots: foot strength, proprioception and crawl patterns, the entry tier for every body, beginner and advanced alike.
